Bedford - RIOS1931

Charming and unique Bedford -strap is one piece vintage leather strap. Vintage look is due to the use of special oils and waxes. Edges are sanded by hand and impregnated with leather dye. Cream white stitching is strong and durable. A functional seam in the stainless steel buckle increases safety and the loop is sewn by hand with an X-stitch.

Every watch strap is unique. The patina of the vintage leather can strongly vary.

The RIOS1931 Saddler's Seam - Stitch to stitch by hand
In contrast to machine sewing, the handstitched or saddler's seam uses only a single thread, which is drawn manually from one side to the other with two needles alternately. This creates a particularly even stitch pattern. It takes approximately 40 minutes to produce such a seam, which gives a watch strap a longer service life compared to machine stitching. An exact hand seam requires all the skill of a master leather artisan and thus represents a piece of the finest craftsmanship.
